Designer of the week is the Brazilian designer Carlos Miele. This self trained designer label is worldwide specializing in women's ready-to-wear collections. Miele started his career creating performance pieces and crafting installations for exhibit venues and museums around the world. His first label was created in 2002 called Carlos Miele. Second collection in 2006 called Miele with his flagships located in New York City even though he is based in Brazil. The Miele label is known for its casual style women's ready-to-wear collection at a somewhat low price from his first label; Carlos Miele. Designs that are influenced by Brazilian flair, Miele grabs traditional elements of Brazil and intertwines it into his collection. Miele features techniques like patchwork, crochet, leatherwork, and stitching.
