Carlos Miele Fashion Shows

To switch things up a little, I have decided to do a couple of the present fashion shows with a couple of the past fashion shows. This is a great way to see growth, how much the years have change along with style. I kept with the spring/summer collections just because it is still summer. It isn't till August/September that fall starts arriving. So for right now, let's enjoy summer!
Present:
Carlos Miele-Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Spring 2013
Creative. Classic straight runway with the audience on both sides. Line presents dresses, mixing prints and patterns, shawl, fringe, evening wear, sequence, cocktail dresses, weaving, asymmetry, texture, skirts, wrap technique, ruffles, layering, jumpsuit, off the shoulder drapery, sheer, and blouses. Color consists of yellow, black, turquoise, blue, green, white, beige, and champagne. I love the how each piece has it's own movement. Miele has such amazing ideas when it comes to mixing prints and patterns. It's so unique and eye catching that you can't help but to keep looking at the piece. A clean runway was a good idea but Miele could of also done a charcoal gray runway with black walls to make the colors pop more. Overall, this would get 9/10
Carlos Miele- Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Spring 2012
Creative. Classic straight runway with the audience at both sides. Line presents dresses, skirts, jumpsuit, off the shoulder, sheer, shawl, maxi dresses, evening wear, mixing prints and patterns, and drapery. Color consists of blue, gold, green, white, orange, black, turquoise, gray, green, blue, white, and red. Definitely an interesting collection. Sleek, sophisticated, and clean cut. Strong pieces that can be versatile. Can go from day to night. I love the fact that his collections consist of color instead of being the tradition black that you see most designers use. The white runway with the grey walls was a match to the collection. The show had an overall cohesiveness. Overall, this would get 8/10
Past
Carlos Miele Spring 2007 Elle
Classic straight runway much like the other fashion shows. Line presents cocktail dresses, evening wear, wrap technique, maxi dresses, cardigans, sheer, romper, ruffles, gowns, sequence, shorts, lace, knit sweater, texture, and volume. Color consists of red, beige, black, turquoise, white, and gold. Very elegant collection that would be great on the red carpet. Miele's recent collections are more advanced then these collections but you can see the start of his inspiration, creativity and development.
Carlos Miele Spring 2009 Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week
Classic straight runway. Same runway as the recent shows. Line presents cocktail dresses, dye style, maxi dresses, jump suit, sheer, wrap techniques, ruffles, off the shoulder, evening wear, asymmetry, mixing fabric, wrap style, and blazer. Color consists of black, white, turquoise, gray, beige, blue, and red. Compared to the recent shows and the past, you can see the difference in the drapery techniques, the mixing of the fabric and where the fabric sits on the body. The artist singing on the runway was a great touch.
