Just Dance!
When fashion becomes fun. When it becomes a form of art as it glides across the dance floor.
Krump/Break Dancing. Men's sweat pants, shorts, tank top, Nike shoes and accessory. Ciara has a look that is still today popular. Whether you are dancing or just doing your daily activities. This look has become the go to look for day to night wear. This look has been mostly worn for Krumping/Break Dancing while giving you that movement gangster look. It fits the genre, the style while allowing the dancer to step the way they need to to feel the beat.Ballet/Tap Dancing. Such poetic dancing struggles to combine themselves with loose wear. So to keep that dramatic flair, they stick to clothes that allow better movement while not getting caught on anything. A ballet/tap dancer need there legs free. Nothing heavy around their legs. Most of the time, they will wear a slim pant, leggings or a light dress. This outfit right here, the leggings and tank top don't just have to be worn for dancing. You can wear this to your yoga class, zumba class, work out, and or add a sweater/hoodie for your everyday activities. Definitely a comfortable outfit that is expanding.
Jazz/Contemporary Dancing. Control and floating movement, jazz dancers create a story that is more then ballet dancing but not to the extreme as the hip-hop dancing. Jazz dancers can wear anything with limitations. Crop zipper top and leggings is what you see in this photo. Jazz dancers have a little more freedom with what they wear because they use their garments to their advantage.
Hip-Hop/Street Dancing. White t-shirt with the sleeves cut off down to the hip, beanie, harem pants, and shoes. If you are a dancer and you have seen yourself in the mirror. You realize that with some movements, if wearing the wrong outfit, doesn't make the same impact. Picture this women in a pair of leggings. Put them side by side. What do you think? Same impact or do you see the difference? Harem pants are a blessing for dancers. Dancers don't have to worry about fabric moving when making quick steps. In a sense, harem pants are a mix between mens style and a slim pants.
Jump Up/Freestyle Dancing. I have done this style a lot in my pieces. The most comfortable outfit I could ever wear when preforming. I don't always have a flannel tied around my waist but as you can see the flannel tied around the waist is jumping from fashion to dancing. Dancers are finding ways to be fashionable while preforming but at the same time making sure nothing restricts them from doing their movements. Off the shoulder shirt, tank top, leggings, flannel shirt, pair of boots, and beanie for that overall look. Dance in it or do you daily activities in it. From day to night, you will always be ready.
