Andrea Lieberman

Designer of the week is Andrea Lieberman. Born in New York City, Lieberman was surrounded by fashion. New York City is known for being the go to location for fashion so it's obvious on what would inspire Lieberman to join Parsons School of Design but music has been a big influence on Lieberman as well. During her time at Parsons, She interned with designer Giorgio di Sant' Angelo to working for Romeo Gigli. Lieberman eventually became a personal stylist. Her career started with the music industry styling hip hop figures. Her work with Combs led to her meeting Jennifer Lopez whom she styled in a green silk chiffon Versace dress for the 2000 Grammy Awards which to today is still one of the todays most talked about Grammy dresses.
Lieberman opened her first boutique called Culture and Reality. The boutique became a cult sensation and segued her into the world of styling. Drawing from her international travels and experience with her roster of celebrity clientele, she launched ALC in 2009 to create the versatile, beautifully crafted staples women's wardrobes were missing. Style shouldn't be complicated. Lieberman believes that the woman she styles should feel confident. Lieberman has become one of the fashion world's most preeminent stylist and now designer. She has worked widely in the fashion industry, not only styling for videos, photo shoots and award shows but also utilizing her talents to design for tours and concerts. Each collection is built on a foundation of exclusive fabrications, world-class construction, and thoughtful-yet-subtle design details.
Her work has been featured on many cover and editorial pages in magazines such as Vogue, Harpers Bazaar, Vanity Fair, Glamour, and Instyle. What's most inspiring about her is the amount of time she puts into her work. A lot of traveling went into building her image, building her brand. She is still at the top of the most wanted stylist from celebrities. We look forward to seeing what she will get her hands on next.
