Helmut Lang Spring/Summer 1994 New York 1 of 2 Pret a Porter
It's interesting to see how back then, the models would walk the runway multiple times in the same outfit. The collection had a rocker goth style. I do enjoy the fact that not all the models are young and it's mixed between men and women. There is a lot of black, white, sheer, and trench coats. Almost looks like something that you would see on Blade and or Queen of the Damned. Check out part 2 for the rest of the fashion show. 8/10

This would be before Michael and Nicole took over. There are still the trench coats, straps, black, white, with a hint of color but once again the models walk multiple times. Definitely an interesting collection of where the straps are placed. Once section contained red while the next contained yellow and of course your neutrals. There is a hint of sports wear and a difference from the past. Some of the pieces are amazing and can easily be mixed or by themselves. I would wear this collection. 9/10
Helmut Lang's Spring 2005
This is before the brand made a change. The collection has more sophistication, sex appeal, workwear style. Still mixed with mens and womens collection. Love the change to workwear and wish some of it was reinvented. Very clean cut with a hint of color and of course black. Different shapes and placement. Out of every designer that I have researched and studied, I have not seen this kind of collection before. Compare this collection with the 1994 collection. Even the drapery changes. 8/10
Helmut Lang Spring/Summer 2014
Different location as well as how the show is started. sticking with the traditional white, shapes, naturals and black. The models are no longer walking multiple times on the runway. Drapery and placement changes once more. Even the styling techniques are different. If comparing this video to the 2003/2005 video, there is a little more sophistication, layering, boxy style. This definitely had Michaels and Nicoles hands all over it. This is also the last year that they presented a collection under Helmut Lang. There is also more color, shapes and so forth. Almost editorial. 8/10
