Mara Hoffman

Designer of the week is the amazing Mara Hoffman. Mara Hoffman made a splash when she was attending Parsons School of Design in New York. Continuing her dream, she studied abroad at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London. Willing and ready, she created and launched her ready-to-wear collection in 2000. Much like other designers, she started creating out of her apartment. Hoffmans big break came when the "Sex and the City" stylist Patricia Field stopped her on the street of New York and complimented her outfit. The outfit made such an impression that Field picked up Hoffman's samples and sold them in her shop. House of Field helped grow a loyal client base for Hoffman. Inspired by nature, fantasy, and world travel. Hoffmans collections consists of cashmere coats, hand-dyed couture, original silk prints, swimwear, hand print, trippy multicolored geometric shapes, strappy lacing detail, and more. Hoffmans brand continues to evolve and give off that hippi chic pick me up style. Working around the clock, she made her collections come alive.
