Christopher Bailey
Designer of the week is the amazing Christopher Bailey. Best known for being the Chief Creative and chief executive officer of Burberry. From 1994-1996, Bailey was the designer for the womens collection at Donna Karan as well as Senior designer at Gucci. Bailey finally joined Burberry in 2001 as the design director where he later was named CEO after Angela Ahrendts' left the company in 2014. It was 2008 when Bailey and Angela established the foundation of Burberry to help young people realize their dreams and potential of their creativity. Bailey is the mastermind who transformed the company into a luxury. I actually have had the chance to meet Bailey. He is literally amazing and so intelligent. When he speaks about Burberry, it just makes you want to join the company. After listening to this man talk with passion about the love he has for his job, if I was given the opportunity to intern/ work full time for him. I would take it in a heart beat. It's not every day that you run into someone that loves what they do for a living.
