Confessions of a Shopaholic is a romantic comedy film based on the shopaholic series of novels by Sophie Kinsella. Rebecca Bloomwood (Isla Fisher) is a shopping addict who lives with her best friend Suze (Krysten Ritter).
She's a journalist for a gardening magazines but dreams of working for Alette. When on her way to an interview with Alette, she sees a green scarf and attempts to buy it. However, her card was declined so she asked for money at a hot-dog stand. She get's the money but because of the scarf, she ends up being late to the Alette interview.
She ends up interviewing with Successful Savings and getting hired with them. Luke (Hugh Dancy), her boss, assigns her a column that she must complete. As the story progress, "The Girl in the Green Scarf" was born and a instant success.
While working for Success Savings, she manages to avoid the debt collector till he shows up at a live showing and calls her out on all her debt on national live TV. To make things right, she opens a one time only designer sell and decides to sell the green scarf. She makes enough to retire her debt.
