Designer of the week is a designer that not many people who don't follow fashion know. So designer of the week is the remarkable Mark Badgley. Mark Badgley is a Missourian, much like myself, who has big dreams. He is another designer who also went to Parsons School of Design in New York. It was at Parsons where he would meet James Mischka where they soon became romantic partners. They both had a love for fashion and glamour. They borrowed $250,000 from their families and started creating what they called Old Hollywood style gowns. This jump start their newly born company Badgley Mischka in 1988. With pouring appraisal from the fashion world, it wasn't quit like the moment when Teri Hatcher and Winona Ryder walked the red carpet in Badgley Mischka gowns. For those of you who have seen Sex and the City. If you remember Charlotte Yorks second wedding dress, then you got a taste of Badgley Mischka brand. The men are known for their embellished evening wear. Along with elegance and luxury. Most of their gowns have been featured on the industries best-dressed. Full of ideas and inspiration, this duo bring freshness to the fashion world.
