Ann Demeulemeester Spring 2013 Fashion Week
Average. Unique runway in an infinity 8 form. Line presents dresses, work wear, asymmetry, shirt dress, skirts, shorts, vest, shawl, blazer, suits, high waist skirt, sheer, sleeves with slits, Color consists of black, purple, silver, and white. Definitely has a goth appearance to the collection but at the beginning of the show, the collection shows a more clean cut working women. I'm not sure about the long sleeves with the slits. It would be interesting to see how people would react to them. I am glad that the runway is white, the back is white and the show is lit up instead of the usual black on black. Overall this would get 7/10
Ann Demeulemeester Ready-to-Wear Fall 2013
Average. Similar to the runway above except with white curtains. Line presents layering, trench coat, dresses, long shirts, sheer, slit sleeves, leggings, fading effect, skirts, peacoat, asymmetry, handkerchief style hes, fur, vest, and leather. Color consists of white and black. Ann Demeulemeester is known for using a lot of white and black in her collections. This collection almost seems like something you would see in a Marvel movie or in a Tim Burton movie. It has that fantasy look in most of her pieces. You can see the goth and punk also in the other pieces. Attention to detail, movement and eye catching. Overall, this would get 7/10
Ann Demeulemeester Paris Fashion Week Spring 2014
Creative. Unique runway. Big square runway with a middle insert that the models weave through during the show. Nothing at the back of the runway and only the runway is lit up. Line presents sheer, peacoat, shorts, mixing patterns and prints, work wear, dresses, ruffles, asymmetry, stripes, loose shirts, velvet, leggings, long shirts, and peak-a-boo skin. Color consists of black, white, beige, gray, and red. Wonderful collection! Most of these pieces would be cute together and or separate. A lot of movement, attention to detail and breath taking. I would definitely wear most of these pieces and the styling was head on. I do wish something was done with the runway to enhance the collection but in the end, this worked. Overall, this would get 9/10
Ann Demeulemeester Paris Autumn/Winter 2014
Average. Same runway as the show above. Line presents trench coat, asymmetry, skirt, loose shirts, leather pants, drapery, peacoat, leather bomber jacket, deep V-necks, velvet, fur, blazer, dresses, handkerchief style hems, layering, work wear, and long shirts. Color consists of black, gold. and white. This collection is a mix between men's and w omens collections. A mixture between masculinity and feminine. Some of these pieces, I can see being popular and styled in many ways by our trendsetters around the world. However, not sure if wearing a really long shirt with long flowy pants will go far. I know Zendaya was able to pull it off but no other celebrity or person has tried it out. Because this collection really just focused on black fabric being shaped in different ways. The runway kind of suited it. The runway was kind of dark. Other then white and gold, I would of at least added one more color so that people can see these garments on a different scale. Overall, this would get 7/10
