Small Q & A
Kenzo Fall/Winter 2015
Creative. The opening of the show is unique and mind blowing. A model walks out and then the back wall begins to follow her. Going at a diagonal, the wall breaks showing more models. Line presents patterns, prints, layering, poncho, asymmetry, ruffles, hoods, skirts, color blocking, texture, winter coats, leather, sheer, accordion skirts, dresses, work wear, and volume. Color consists of black, green, yellow, white, red, burgundy, and blue. A really interesting collection. It left me wanting to see more. Some of the pieces, I probably wouldn't keep together but I would mix it with other pieces or a classic of leaving them separate. The runway show was perfect for the collection. Definitely had a future vibe to the whole show. Overall, 10/10
Kenzo Spring/Summer 2016
Creative. The fashion show opens to the curtain raising. The models are on platforms that move around the stage. Line presents skirts, geometric shapes, dresses, cut outs, patch work, boxy style, texture, 3D, pea-coats, thigh high boots, graphics, patterns mixed with prints, high waist shorts, and ruffles. Color consists of yellow, gold, gray, white, blue, green, pink, and red. Once again, another unique fashion show. The collection was interesting and I do like the play on color. The shapes and play with lines also helped the eye to travel along the collection. I can't wait to come up with new styling ideas for this collection as well as seeing what out fashionistas come up with! Overall, 10/10
