Designer of the week is the known American designer Kenneth Cole. Kenneth Cole was founded win 1982 with it's original name Kenneth Cole Incorporated. However, he learned quick that it's not easy to showcase your line anywhere. During market week, the Hilton becomes an expensive place to stay and or rent out a room. When starting out, not many have money to rent out spaces but Cole came up with another idea where he would borrow a truck and park it away from the Hilton. All he needed left was permission from the mayor. Upon learning that permits are only grated to full length motion pictures and utility companies.
Cole changed his company name to Kenneth Cole Productions, Inc. as well as getting a trailer. This was a very good idea on Coles part as well as being sneaky to getting what you want. His motion picture production would be called The Birth of a Show Company". With the whole kit that comes with putting a production, Cole officially got to show his collection and sell forty thousand pairs of shoes. With amazing success of selling shoes, watches and handbags. Kenneth Cole can now be found internationally.
