Kenneth Cole Runway: NYFW Spring 2014
Creative. The fashion show opens to what looks like light hanging and a unusual runway. Looks like the show is held upstairs. You don't see the audience except occasional photographer. Line presents leather, jacket, loose pants, blouses, sheer, shorts, blazer, work wear, skirts, texture, sequence, sports wear, sweaters over a classic shirt, suits, sleeveless jackets, floral print, crop top, graphic tee, patterns, skinny pant, pea coat, rain coats, lines, geometric shapes, and dresses. Color consists of black, white, red, orange. and shades of green. Love the shoes with the outfits. I can see a lot of people wearing these outfits. Whether keeping with the Coles styling or creating something new. These pieces are strong by themselves so anything can happen. The mixing of menswear and womens-wear is plus. It's different and I'm glad to see many more designers going with this approach. I feel like the runway could be a little more to enhance the look. Overall, this would get 8/10
Kenneth Cole Fall/Winter 2014 New York Fashion Week
Creative. The show opens to a white "L" shape runway with mirrors in the back. Line presents dresses, layering, blazer, pea coat, skirt, asymmetry, suits, work-wear, mixing fabrics, trench coat, sheer, sweater, patterns, blouses, texture, plaid, sequence, cardigans, leather, coats, and marshmallow coat. Color consists of black, white, gray, and maroon. A dark collection, that makes you feel like you are watching a cop movie from the past, just in an updated form. A lot is going on, on each model. This collection is different from the last. There are good pieces but they can be strong separated. From what Calvin Klein has said, "Some times less is more". The runway was on point with the collection. Overall, this would get 8/10
