Designer of the week is the creative Max Azria. Also known for the high fashion brand BCBG. This Tunisian fashion designer spent 11 years designing women's apparel in Paris in 1981. It was 1989 when he finally launched BCBG Max Azria. Did you know that BCBG stood for "bon chic, bon genre"? Which is Parisian slang meant "good style, good attitude". BCBG is best known for being fashionable at affordable prices and as a result, was introduced into the Council of Fashion Designers of America in 1988. In 1996, BCBG made the scene at New York Fashion Week. On top of handling BCBG, Max Azria also created Max Azria Atelier and Max Azria. Max Azria Atelier was launched in 2004, the couture gowns have been seen on celebrities as well as red carpet events. Where Max Azria was launched in 2006 which is known for it's ready-to-wear directional aesthetic. There was even a young contemporary collection called BCBGeneration in 2008 that was launched. With over 550 boutiques worldwide, Max Azria continues to grow and creating the next best thing.
