Designer of the week is the creative John Varvatos. Through his years of discovering and learning from the best, Varvatos has worked under Polo Ralph Lauren and Calvin Klein. Varvatos was even honored as being appointed head of menswear design for Calvin Klein. While under Calvin Klein, he created a men's undergarment known as boxer briefs which now has made history as one of the greatest apparel revolutions of the century. By 1995, Varvatos returned to Ralph Lauren as head of their menswear design. Four years later, he officially started his own company showing his first clothing line for fall 2000 in New York. Varvatos has also started opening boutiques and you can find his collection in select luxury stores. His brand includes eyewear, watches, handbags, belts, footwear and fragrances. In 2012, he joined NBC's Fashion Star as a mentor in search for the next big brand in fashion. He has been influenced by songs, various artists, and rock 'n' roll throughout his career in fashion. With making a splash in the fashion world, continuing to be inspired by new designs, Varvatos collection of awards keeps growing.
