Alberta Ferretti Fashion Show Fall/Winter 2013
Average. U shape runway with the audience and a faint light shaping the outline of the runway. Nothing at the back of the runway. Line presents high waisted skirts, blouses, short pleated skirts, lace, sequence, texture, peacoat, evening wear, velvet, patterns, contrasting, sheer gowns, flower prints, asymmetry, flower placements along the collar and pockets, sheer tops, ruffles, diagonal lines, blazer, and workwear. Color consists of white, black, gray, royal blue, red, purple, and olive green. A lot of velvet and texture. Really engages you to want to touch the fabric. The collection has a hint of dramatic to it where the runway goes with the collection. However, I feel like something could be added for that dramatic approach. This would get 7/10
Alberta Ferretti Fashion Show Spring/Summer 2014 Collection
Creative. U shape runway with a column in the back that changes color. The runway is lite up and the audience is separated creating the "U" shape runway. Line presents color ribbon, sheer tops and bottoms, skirts, pleated skirts, ruffles, lace, maxi dresses, high-low dresses, wrap dresses, shirt dresses, flower patterns, pattern sleeves, workwear, evening gowns, stripes, color blocking, crop tops, sequence, t-shirts, and high waisted skirts. Color consists of white, orange, red, purple, blue, green, pink, and black. The different kinds of crop tops was a nice change of direction in being fashion forward. Also with the multiple color stripes put together and movement. Love the dress at 5:54. I can see a lot of these dresses being worn by the average shopper. Definitely has that spring/summer flair to it and fun to the dresses. Youthful and creative. This would get 9/10
Alberta Ferretti Autumn/Winter 2014
Creative. U shape runway and much like the 2013 fall runway. Nothing at the back of the runway but this time the runway is not lit up. The audience is also separated like the other runway shows. Line presents dresses, evening wear, feathers, shirt dresses, sweaters, asymmetry, fringe, wool, skirts, texture, ruffles, boxy peacoat, fur, winter coats, robe, sheer, mix of patterns and prints, and sequence. Color consists of moss green, maroon, hunter green, black, gold, beige, red, orange, and brown. Loved the first dress! The peak-a-boo ruffle at the back of the feather dress is a surprise that I really enjoyed and how the feathers come together like they are grabbing the models body is just gorgeous. The detail work is impeccable, however, some of the outfits are a hit and miss for what the average shopper would wear. Even for a celebrity. If not styled correctly, the celebrity could make it on the worst dressed list. Definitely gives you that earthy/nature feel. I also like how some of the pieces also look like brush strokes. This would get 9/10
Alberta Ferretti Fashion Show SS 2015
Creative. U shape lit up runway with a sunset looking background. Line presents blouses, jumpsuit, flower patterns, shorts, cut outs, weaving, lace pants, maxi dresses, long vests, peak-a-boo skin, high waisted skirts, mixing patterns and prints, stripes, fade effect, sheer, crop tops, fringe, high-low dresses, evening gowns, belted mid drift button up shirt, pleats, and handkerchief style dress hems. Color consists of beige, white, purple, pastel blue, pastel pink, brown, mint green, copper. A lot of movement and the garments almost seem light, not heavy. Definitely a bohemian urban vibe to the collection. I can see a lot of these pieces being sold out for spring/summer. Great collection! This would get 9/10
