As a retailer for Hollister and any other retail store, you work Black Friday. I was at the mall before it opened which our fellow shoppers were starting to arrive outside the mall. This is a surprising feature of the mall empty except for the stores putting up their sale signs and getting ready for the shoppers.
When the clock hit 6, the stores started to open. Surprisingly, it was not busy at first like my experience 2 years ago. However, two years ago the stores didn't open till midnight. Victoria's Secret was the only store that had a line of shoppers.
Around 8:00pm is when all the other stores including mine started to get full of curious shoppers wanting to get the best sale.
With great team work and some humor, Hollister was able to keep up with the shoppers. Giving great customer service, replenishing the store and keeping it organized. I also spotted some great styles!
Most of the shoppers that came into the store had casual looks to sleep wear. The two above stood out from the crowd. I look forward to seeing if it will be busy when I go back in as well as the different styles now that people have slept.
