Monique Lhuillier Fashion Shows

Monique Lhuillier Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Spring 2013
Average. Classic straight runway with what looks to be a picture of clouds at the back of the runway. Line presents dresses, prints that resemble wingers/feathers, asymmetry, work wear, pea coat, embroidery, sheer, fading technique, sequince, shorts,  Color consists of blacks, grays, whites, golds, green, turquoise, shades of purple and blue. Very elegant and colorful clothes. I like the mixture of colors where it looks like a tie-dye affect. The runway suited the collection. There is a consistent flow from the floor of the runway to the collection to the back of the runway. If they had done something to the runway, then it would of been too much. I would give this a 7/10

Monique Lhuillier Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Fall 2013
Average. Classic straight runway but instead of a white runway, it's a black runway. At the back of the runway, it's this artsy green swirl piece which makes me think that their is going to be creative cuts, placement and swirls. Line presents dresses, suits, furs, knits, patterns, lace, fringe, peek-a-boo skin, evening gowns, embroidery, work wear, prints, and sequence. Color consists of whites, black, maroon, green, golds, yellows, reds and neutrals. A lot of flow and play with volume as well as form fitted gowns. I would give this 7/10

Monique Lhuillier Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Spring 2014
Creative. Classic straight white runway leading to what resembles flower lace pattern back of the runway. Line presents dresses, sheer, sequence, high-low dresses, patterns, floral prints, faded effect, volume, crop tops, jumpsuits, lace, and suits. Color consists of white, pink, golds, neutrals, red, and purple. The collection made me think of Valentines days with the colors, the lace and elegance. A complete flow from runway to collection. Very romantic with flow. I would give this a 10/10

Monique Lhuillier Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Fall 2014
Not that creative. At the beginning, you see someone painting a heart with pink and red colors so maybe this collection is going to be Heart attack awareness or Valentines Day. The show opens up with lights lighting up a runway, looks to be nothing at the back of the runway. Line presents suits, dresses, floral prints, latex, pea coats, mesh, layering, sequence, high-low dresses, volume, peek-a-boo color, sheer, asymmetry, fringe, vests, lace Color consists of reds, blacks, purples, grays, golds, pinks and white. There was some romance in the collection but I didn't see a lot of reds or pinks. More black then any other color so maybe Valentines Day date night? Who knows but I guess that would explain why they didn't do much to the runway. No wow factor besides the clothes so I would give this 5/10

Creative. Classic straight runway but with a twist. Looks like lace leading to a lit up back. Elegant runway for the models to walk. Line presents evening gowns as well as bridesmaids gowns, floral prints, sequence, tool, peek-a-boo skin, kimono style tops, volume, layering, lace, shorts, jackets, and embroidery. Color consists of white, black, pastel pink, marble, pastel purple, yellow, blue and green, grays, and beige. I like how towards the end of the show, confetti starts falling from the ceiling. Makes the runway start reflecting the light where it looks shinny. Confetti is something that is normally thrown after the couple is married and is on their way to the car to leave for their honeymoon. The connection is a night touch. Very elegant. I would give this 10/10
