Instead of staying inside avoiding the cold, go to the gym and or workout at home. It's a great way to keep you warm while also working off the extra energy you may have from not being active. Studies show that people are more active during Spring/Summer than Fall/Winter. This should be obvious to most because hey the weather get's colder. Who really wants to stay outside and freeze? Not many! So why not burn off some of that energy and work out. It can be as simple as dancing, walking up and down the stairs, catching your children as they run throughout the house and so.
