Designer of the week is Giuseppe Zanotti. Best known for his attention to detail and sculpturing designs. Grew Up in San Mauro, Pascoli, which is surrounded by high end shoe-making tradition. To no surprise, Zanotti learned this tradition. Not just because he was around local legends but he was also obsessed with shoes. What actually started Zanotti on this path is his mothers shoes. Zanotti was always impressed with the shape of toe. The way he envisioned his creations would be big and dramatic. Oversized crystals and stones.
When he took over the Vicini shoe factory, he moved his team in and got to work creating new departments in producing heels and ornamental jewels. By 1994, Zanotti traveled to New York to present his first collection to many fashion editors and retailers like Barney's New York and Saks Fifth Avenue. Having faith in his brand, many of these retailers picked up the collection and are still standing strong with the brand today. In 2000, Zanotti's first boutique opened in Milan. With a steady clime in sales, this lead to many more stores opening internationally. Zanotti has become best known for his luxury footwear accessories and leather ready to wear designs.
