Designer of the week is the lovely L'Wren Scott also known as Laura Bambrough. Scotts love for fashion actually came when she had to sew her own clothes due to her height. By the age of 12, she had learned clothing construction as well as fabric quality. Started her career as a model which with the exposure she gained and knowledge of the fashion world, she begun styling movies stars like Madonna and Julia Roberts.
Moving to Paris was the best thing to happen in her life. Being able to work with Paris-based agencies, she gained many great opportunities to work with legends such as David Bailey and Chanel. Eventually she moved to California to establish herself as a stylist in the early 1990's. Scotts first fashion collection was launched in 2006 filled with well defined sexy silhouettes. Scott became best known for her attention to detail.
Creating dresses that were seductive but at the same time made you feel secure in. To get the all over look, women had the added bonus of getting L'Wrenisms shoes, handbags, glasses, makeup and perfume. Scott collaborated with Banana Republic for a line that would be affordable for everyone as well. There is so much more to Scott than what you read on social media sites. Scott was beautiful inside and out. 2014 was definitely not a good year. Went from Scott to Robin Williams to Joan Rivers. Along with many others.
If anyone is familiar with Mick Jagger. Mick Jagger was the longest relation that Scott had but the family had mix feelings about him. Scotts suicidal in 2014 really shocked the nation. No one saw it coming but Scott was struggling with depression. At the age of 49, she was laid to rest in Utah. This was hard on many as well as Mick Jagger. Mick Jagger created a 3 year scholarship in Scotts name for one student from 2015-2017.
