Bringing back designer of the week posts due to requests from many of you. Designer of the week is Alejandro Ingelmo. For any of you who many not know him, he is well known for this high-end, luxury, dramatic and yet fashion forward shoe designs. Still to today, celebrities are obsessed with his footwear line as well as many of the fashionistas worldwide. You could say that shoe making was in his blood due to four generations in his family working and or creating shoes. Coming from Cuba to Miami, Alejandro began to get inspired with everything that was around him.
In 2005, he moved to New York to study at Parsons School of Design. Parsons School of Design is a great place to get your foot in the door for anyone wanting to be in fashion. Alejandro remained with what he knew and that was shoes. It was something that he was more aware of and remained to inspire him on a daily basis. The fashion world took notice in 2006 when Alejandro presented his shoe collection. Quickly, Alejandro was known as a shoe designer with great attention to detail as well as being able to create shoes that can easily go from day to night for that modern woman. In general, he wanted to create shoes with style while remaining comfortable for his customer. His shoes continue to stand the test of time.
