Gossip Girl

It's been a while since I have posted anything about movies/shows that have helped influenced the fashion world as well as our daily style. One of the best teen drama shows I have run into is Gossip Girl. Gossip Girl is about the upper-class privilege lives adolescents living in the Manhattan's upper east side. These adolescents are basically under a microscope when a blog call Gossip Girl posts their every move. From High School, College and or to work, these few are never safe from the eyes of Gossip Girls followers.
You see everyone's up's and down's. As well as someone who is not a part of their world, Dan Humphrey, trying to no longer be looked down on but looked at as an equal by those of the upper-class. You are definitely on a roller coaster with this show and you begin to root for some couples to stay together and or get together. When this show first aired, so many fans were drawn in. Of course many wanted to know who was Gossip Girl. It was obvious that Gossip Girl was not just a narrative but someone who could hurt and or help your reputation.
The many styles you witness through this entire show ranges from grunge to sophistication. What drew me in the most to this show wasn't just the envy of all the beautiful fashion, but how we should not stereotype. No mater the status, no matter the age, we all struggle the same. How to get a fashion line noticed? How internships will push you while remaining a great stepping stone of learning, when to stand up for yourself and so on.
This show is based on the book series of the same name written by Cecily von Ziegesar. If you are a critic that likes to compare the book to the series, you may be in for a surprise. What I will ask you is which one was your favorite? The show or the book? Did Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage do justice in creating the series?
If you have not seen this show, please check it out. Those who you may start off hating at the beginning may change your mind towards the end. Full of surprises, this show will leave you wanting to see what happens next. So I leave you with a memorable saying:
You know you love me… XOXO, Gossip Girl
