Ennio Capasa

Designer of the week is the Italian designer Ennio Capasa. Capasa is known for creating dark tones, subtle shapes and sartorial detail work under the CoSTUME NATIONAL. This label has developed in many directions. After completing school, Capasa moved to Tokyo for two years to work under Yohji Yamamoto. After moving back to Italy, Capasa finally got to show his first women's collection in Milan followed by his menswear collection. Neck in neck with his creations, at times many compared his revolutionized 90s fashion to Giorgio Armani 80s collection. When you look at all of Capasa's collections, you see inspiration of funk, hard rock, Body Art and the 1960's Italian cinema. His pieces have been featured on the red carpet. On top of fashion, Capasa has also transitioned into theatre work. Creating and styling some of the actors before they hit the stage. Check out some of his work!
