Designer of the week is Neil Barrett. The English designer is best known for his structured menswear. Barrett grew up learning from the best. With two that many of us may agree would be our role models, his grandfather and great-grandfather. After attending Central Saint Martins School of Art and Design and the Royal College of Art in London, he got recruited to work under Gucci as Senior Men's designer. After five years, Barrett moved on to handling the menswear under Prada. Learning the ways of creating a masculine wardrobe with the beginning of Neil Barrett label. It wasn't till 2002, Barrett got to show off his collection at Milan menswear fashion week. On top of his own label, Barrett would collaborate with Puma which eventually in 2006, he expanded his label into womenswear.
