Designer of the week is the creative Anthony Vaccarello. Started off sculpturing and then transferred into fashion. He won first place, with an inspiration by the porn star La Cicciolina, in the Hyeres International Festival of Fashion and Photography. This grabbed Karl Lagerfeld's attention which got him a job working for Fendi. His fur line pleased the public, social media and as well as Karl Lagerfeld. After the 2009 haute couture fashion week, Vaccarello presented his first ready to wear collection in the Maria Luisa. His collection was known for the leather and organza miniskirt. Vaccarello was immediately praised by critics for the purity and subtlety of his collection. Uncluttered and loaded with sex-appeal, Vaccarello style is erotic, minimalist, and contemporary. Often a dark silhouette and evoking the photographer Herb Ritts by using bright solids. His inspirations definitely makes everyone's head turn.
