Next week, I will be going on a trip to Florida. Very excited to get away from the cold weather. However, every time I go on a trip, I always see these people with three luggage or one very large luggage case. When asking my coworkers, friends and family. I have realized that a lot of people some times over pack. They pack things they think they will need or want to wear. Great example of a before and after photo. I came up with my own way of folding clothes to add room in the bag. However, I just found out that many others are actually doing this as well. Everyone has their own way and this is mine:)
The reason for keeping the print faced down is so that once it's done folded, you can still see the print. You will know what shirt it was that you folded to eliminate the need to unfold it. You would do a maxi dress this same way but you would eliminate Step 3 & 5. For those of you who think it will wrinkle, if done properly, the shirts actually doesn't wrinkle and they hold their shape. I do this when I go on trips and all of my clothes in my dresser are folded this way as well. It's amazing how much clothes you can fit in your dresser when you fold like this. I don't have a large closet so this works for me.
Grab the shirt
Step 1: Flip it over so that the print is facing the floor.
Step 2: Fold one side in till you reach the collar of the shirt
Step 3: Fold the sleeve inward. If it's a long sleeve, you will still fold over to the left and then back to the right but laying the sleeve along the folded edge of the shirt.
Step 4: Repeat Step 2
Step 5: Repeat Step 3
Step 6: Fold in half
Step 7: Fold in half again
Step 8: Fold in half again
