Queer Eye For the Straight Guy

Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, also known as Queer Eye, is a reality television series that follows five gay men called “Fab Five”. The Fab Five are: Ted Allen, Kyan Douglas, Thom Filicia, Carson Kressley, and Jai Rodriguez. The Fab Five perform makeovers on a contestant which is usually a man and revamp his wardrobe, redecorate his home and offering advice on grooming, lifestyles and food. Basically giving the full package to any lucky contestant. This television series have become the most talked about series on Bravo. There was a spin off from the series called, Queer Eye for the Straight Girl but it was not as accepted as the original television series. Queer Eye for the Straight Girl was canceled after the first season.
When the third season came out, it marked the change in the series where they would not only be making over straight men but also women and gay men. Most of the time, the contestant that the Fab Five is making over is having an event. Whether it be a backyard barbecue, proposing marriage and or asking for a salary raise. The Fab Five visit the contestant at their home, look at their wardrobe, home décor, cleanliness and grooming. The Fab Five then escort the contestant to various places to select new furniture and clothes.  They then discuss the contestant’s style issues and at the end of the show, the show follows the contestant as he or she prepares for the special event to see how well or how poorly the contestant followed their advice. Each episode ends with a Fab Five tip.
