History Compared to Now

Did you know that Fashion actually repeats itself? In the 3500-600BC, The Ancient Middle East, most clothes were fabric wrapped, tunic and loin cloths. Only Kings, Pharos, and the wealthy had color on their clothing along with fringe shawls to create that horizontal, vertical, and diagonal arrangements of fringes. Women would produce the textiles and men would dye, as well as finish the fabric. In Egypt, women wore both wrapped and fitted dresses. Some dresses were pleated, others wore sheaths, beads or metal. A bead net dress over the wrapped garments. They could be V-neck with or without sleeves.
I like how we integrate the past with the now but also learning when it started. With little amount of materials and no machinery help, beautiful garments were created. Even in this generation, the wealthy have what I would consider desired garments. Those garments that some of us just can't afford.
