Mademoiselle C is a documentary that focuses on the former
Vogue Paris editor in chief and fashion stylist Carine Roitfeld. She moves to New York to launch her
own magazine. She lives for fashion, breaths fashion and loves fashion. Roitfeld
knows what she wants and has a vision.
“I’m a rebel. I don’t take photos, I
tell stories. I think you can always surpass yourself, and I think I have that
kind of energy to find something that will make a certain image iconic,” says
Roitfeld. Roitfeld finds her own voice and explores the gap between fiction and
reality where her fantasy shows in her photos. This film also shows how
becoming a grandmother influences not only her sense of self but her work.
