America’s
Next Top Model is an interactive competition reality television series. Each
season, aspiring models audition to be on the show and compete for the title of
“America’s
Next Top Model.” With a panel of three-four judges, including Tyra Banks, the
judges critique contestants’ progress throughout the competition. Contestants
are judged on overall appearance, participation in challenges, and best shot
from that week’s photo shoot; each episode, one contestant is eliminated with a
rare case of double elimination and or no elimination. Contestants get a
makeover early in the season and a trip to an international destination closer
to the end of the season.
America’s
Next Top Model started out with just all women. In 2013, they added guys to the
mix allowing them a chance to become America’s Next Top model. With each
season, you get behind the scenes look at how photographers work, what it takes
to get that perfect photo, what models have to do to get work with the “Go-See’s”
challenge. This challenge allows the contestants to go to multiple brands
within the area and if they have the look, the walk, attitude and fit their
style; a chance to be booked with them. The final two contestants will walk in a
fashion show where the winner will be decided and announce back at the panel.
